2020 Timeline

Dear Friends of the Mama Project,

We started 2020 with beautiful plans for a summer Mama Project in Cape Town called "Colorful Women Hold Your Head High" with guest artist Ghanaian fashion designer Queen Allotey-Pappoe, and musicians Alutha Taho and Rebeka Rain.

COVID-19 disrupted these plans, but we are #StillConnected!  The Mama Project Leadership Council mobilized quickly to adapt and respond, re-directing our funds to critical relief efforts, safe creative and community projects, and new partnerships on the ground throughout the year. Please enjoy all our 2020 news below!

To round out 2020, join us as we launch our HOLIDAY RELIEF FUNDRAISER.  Please help The Mama Project raise $5,000 between November 1-December 15 to Feed 65 Families, Provide Comfort & Appreciation to 50 Mamas, and Supply ArtWorks Packs for 50 Children in our partner communities in Cape Town.

The resilience, adaptiveness, and tenacity of the whole Mama Project team is an inspiration.

Thank you for your continued support of The Mama Project.  We wish you health and safety in these difficult times.
